Julia is a Professional Voice/Speech and Accent/Dialect Coach and teacher.

I have coached Voice/Speech privately, for professional theatre and film and taught at several institutions including The American Academy of Dramatic Art (New York), The Banff Centre/Citadel Theatre Professional Theatre Training Program, The National Theatre School of Canada, Concordia University, The Prince Edward Island Conservatory, Michigan State University and The Canadian National Voice Intensive.
I have always used my voice as a professional actor, but it was not until I worked as a main stage player at a large theater festival and in a large space, that many un-faced challenges of my voice surfaced. My personal journey has led me to become intrigued with and knowledgeable about various voice methodologies, voice pathology and anatomy, dialects and accents and also to find my own voice – not just the technical strength, but also the substance of my voice to express myself more clearly and confidently. As a result, I use my experience and teaching skills to work with students and fellow professionals to help them to find and use their own voice well and effectively for both daily use and performance.
